Part of the high cost of healthcare is the lack of doctors, which is in part caused by the bottleneck of more years of school than other countries require. The degree will still be expensive, but we'll issue more of them. Supply side progressivism!

More and more countries achieve to decouple economic growth from CO₂ emissions. Just made this new chart that shows the evidence for 25 countries. Growth is up, emissions down.

Cars are a huge portion of global CO2 Emissions, and we're just getting started with the EV rollout, so this is really great to see.

I looked it up, and in the US we get about 3400 kg of rice per acre. It's a bit more calorically dense, I think it comes to be about half the calories per acre of what's listed here for potatoes. But my goodness, can you imagine eating a dozen potatoes per day?

There is simply no way that Pakistani official quoted by the ESA is correct that a third of Pakistan is flooded. No doubt it’s catastrophic, but just eyeballing these maps maybe he meant to say a third of the populated portion of the country, or a third of the useful land?
