A man is on trial under Hong Kong’s national security law just for his speech at protests and online. What did he say? “I’d rather die speaking than live in silence,” “Give me liberty or give me death,” “liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times.”

In case you forgot what actual censorship looks like.

This is why it's so frustrating when people portray DC statehood as a cheap partisan trick. It would (1) enfranchise DC voters, and (2) make the Senate more demographically representative of the US. These are both good things!

It is happening anyway, but it's a pretty silly look, but worse, he's continuing to put really important legislation at risk. This is stuff that will help his constituents.

The Squamish Nation owns many parcels around Vancouver exempt from local zoning. With 87% of the nation voting in favor, they're going to build 6,000 homes at Hong Kong-density, 90% less parking than required by law and beside single-family neighborhoods who cannot stop Senakw.

I wish all the San Francisco people who love to cry crocodile tears as they remind us that we're living on Ohlone land would actually consider letting the Ohlone develop the land!!
