We need Delta-specific boosters. That is what mRNA vaccines are good at. And yet no one is talking about it. We should have been pushing this months ago.
To the FDA’s credit, there are even special rules ready to go for updated boosters against variants, but no one seems to be too far down that path yet.

Stagnation alert:
Plans to build the largest US solar field were scrapped after NIMBYs said it would be “an eyesore and could curtail the area’s popular recreational activities — biking, ATVs and skydiving”

If not in the desert, then where? A lot of solar installs can go on roofs, but larger installations are necessary too.

New: an activist made a script to flood the Texas abortion 'whistleblower' website with fake info. When they IP banned him, he made an iOS shortcut so essentially anyone with an iPhone can replicate what he did in seconds. Verified it works ourselves

And here I was thinking that iOS shortcuts aren't a real programming language.

A right-wing SCOTUS imposing its views on the American people could be an electoral boon to the Democrats.

Hutch @hutchinson
message discipline is uh… really important. And here the Democratic party continues to conduct internal debates via the opinions sections of various newspapers.

I don't think most Californians know how much Newsom and the Democratic legislature have done in the last 18 months.
To be honest, I didn't know a lot of it, until I sat down to pick through their record. But it's impressive.

The childcare stuff was a surprise to me, adding childcare capacity and retrofitting childcare centers. And like, the housing policy represents steps in the right direction too.

Wrote about how Texas' (unconstitutional) new abortion law likely conflicts with Texas' (also unconstitutional) social media content moderation law. Under those laws, FB might face liability for both leaving up and taking down information about abortions.

Very foolish lawmaking.
