A view of the City of Los Altos' revolting last-minute capitulation to neighboring NIMBYs on the all-affordable project, by taking away or reducing most of the windows facing the mountains because they also face the NIMBYs. "Proposed Design" was approved.

This is housing exclusively for low to extremely low income people, but no doubt Los Altos is still going to require they build a bunch of parking which will further drive up the cost of construction. Salim did some digging and it appears that this is the result of a deal between the county and the city to slow down the project and appease NIMBYs.

I feel like people don't talk enough about how James Bond is controlled by the Broccoli family, of broccoli fame. they're not named after broccoli, broccoli is named after them!!!!!!!!

Apparently the providence of the invention of broccoli is contested (It happened in the 6th century BCE), but the Broccoli family does make this claim.

There are videos of protests against mobilisation in multiple cities. Essentially all men have been barred from leaving the country. There are reports of protestors being sent to enlistment centers.
