Both of these are members of Russia's CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), with Russia so obviously innefective, it seems to be collapsing. Armenia is also a member and their cries for aid are falling on deaf ears in Moscow. It really seems like everyone would be better off if Russia withdrew from Ukraine.

Would you judge someone more harshly for being on Truth Social or TikTok? What about working for each? At the end of the day, one is branded as political, and the other isn't, but that maybe makes it more dangerous.

Threads

• Great thread on Trump judges vs Trumpist Judges. tl;dr: there are at this point a few federal judges who often are ignoring precedent when making rulings in order to reach preferred outcomes, it's only a few, but it's absolutely cancerous to a functioning judiciary. In related news, Judge Cannon's order is garbage.

• Thread about why the us isn't yet arming Ukraine with the longer range missile that a HIMARS can fire. tl;dr: probably not super useful in the short run, and that is balanced against provoking Russia.

• Thread of graphs discussing whether 1870 is the right date to say the modern world really started. tl;dr Yeah, but clearly foundations were laid earlier, but history is squishy.
