This is part of a whole thread describing a recent paper, but this graph is just stunning, and with reinfection, it seems like it'll continue indefinitely, although I doubt it can continue at quite this level.

• Summary of the Amicus Brief filed by The Onion in a supreme court case about parody. TL;DR: While joking around, they rightly point out that parody works best the more it looks like the real thing.
• Long thread describing the development (abandoned in the 1960s) of nuclear powered planes. TL;DR: none quite got to the test flight stage, but it's clear that they worked in principle, some even avoided having radioactive exhaust!
