As a former public official I sympathize, if only SCOTUS had not tossed out 200ish years of precedent with the Heller decision and created a personal pretty much unrestricted right of gun ownership we would all be safer.

Tangentially related, one reason my signature looks like it does is because it allows me to sign thousands of signature sheets at one time without turning my wrists/joints to powder.
