Construction skills really haven’t kept pace with other forms of tech progress over the last five millennia. To build the Great Pyramid:
Then: 4,000 workers & 20 years with sleds and ropes
Now: 1,500 to 2,000 workers & 5 years and it would cost $5 billion
Interesting to see a long term perspective on construction capabilites falling behind.
So much useless paperwork!

the barons of our economic order all seem close to functionally illiterate about macroeconomics.

White House delays release of JFK assassination files "to protect against identifiable harm":
My guess: someone informed on Lee Harvey Oswald and the report of the impending attack was ignored. Imperative to avoid embarrassment!

My favorite theory is the "Oswald wounded JFK but the killing shot was a misfire from a secret service agent"

I hope schools in the US require vaccination for kids, seems like an easy mandate.

Yeah, the we-don’t-need-to-get-vaccinated-because-we-had-COVID argument is undoubtedly going to look like bullshit (or worse) in a matter of time. Get vaccinated, you fools. 💉💉 https://t.co/QlHybriq7e

I really don't mind getting vaccinated every year, currently I'm trying to decide what to get for my second dose. Now that we can mix and match, do I want to be unique?
