It is correct that China has developed a nuclear missile technology that the US is unable to stop from destroying an American city if launched. This has been the case since the early 70's, when they first developed ICBMs. This state of affairs is precisely why MAD was developed.

A ICBM warhead enters Earth's atmosphere at around Mach 20. No known or proposed technology has ever been able to stop it, except for the credible threat of retaliation after the fact, which has successfully stopped it for nearly a century now, in much more dangerous times.
Good news! Hypersonic missile reported yesterday isn't tactically that different from ICBMs that everyone already has, so your existential dread should remain at the same level as before.

I’ve owned an electric car for less than a year but already I feel like I can see the charger situation improving. There are more total chargers, more high speed chargers, and more chargers let you just tap a normal credit card rather than needing an app or special card.
This is one of several flywheel processes that is going to drive more EV adoption in the coming years. Easier charging makes EV ownership more attractive. More EVs mean there’s more demand for chargers.
Another interesting thing pointed out by a commenter: eventually it can hit other side of the equation is helping as well, gas stations will be seen as a 'stranded asset', speeding the switchover. Hopefully.
