My niece turned 3 today!! She asked for a Lion King cake but specifically the moment where Mufasa dies, because “everyone will be too sad to eat the cake and it will be all for me.”

This is advanced trickery for a three year old. Not sure my daughter will understand the concept of dramatic tragedy by the time she’s 3.

This was a good article, and I tend to agree with the policy positions he’s putting forward. It’s worth noting though, that if taking these positions doesn’t win elections, the Democrats will probably not do it in the near future, nor should they.

It just does not make sense to have people's primary residences also simultaneously be their main investment asset that is supposed to appreciate more rapidly than inflation. You can't do it while keeping homes affordable. The only way to square the circle is gargantuan subsidy.

Not much more I can say beyond this, we have a cultural belief that buying a home is a core part of growing up. Until Hollywood is making content that pushes YIMBY ideals, it’s very hard to change.
