@resnikoff The Oakland PD told my neighborhood at a community meeting they would not investigate a series of home burglaries with the person caught on camera and a name and address for the burglar until we voted in the DA they wanted.

The exact phrasing is "what's the point of arresting him since the current pro-criminal DA will just release him, and so their hands are tied until the DA changes." But it amounts to a wildcat police strike.
