Whole thing is very bizarre. Apple vets (or used to) people really well, especially for a gig like this.

Apple uh, accidentally(?) hired a guy who had written a book with a bunch of super misogynistic stuff in it. There was public employee outcry, and Apple actually acquiesced to employee demands by the end of the day and fired him. It’s of note because this kind of thing happens so rarely for Apple compared to the other tech giants.

Things are bad right now. I think some of the NYTimes’ framing is a bit slanted, but the article is concise and up to date. If you want to see more on-the-ground stuff, this Times of Israel article has a lot. Finally, this article is paywalled, but indicates that Netanyahu probably benefits from the conflict.
