Many climate activists oppose gas taxes because raising the cost of gas is regressive but support closing oil wells/ stop oil drilling which would do the same thing. It's kinda bizarre how people seem to think of production and demand as unrelated phenomena.

By the way, I had never actually seen the banana revenge fantasy that this joke is from until this evening, but it’s quite good. I was also trying to figure out how to use That’s My Boat, but it felt too complicated.
It's not that I still miss Reader, it's that I'm upset about how it's loss restructured traffic patterns for news.
