I think my takeaway here is that jet engines are still mostly just a propeller, just with a very different power source. I was wondering if there's any kind of gearbox for the different speed blades, but couldn't find anything in a few minutes research.

As one commenter added on, the realest americans are the ones who've chosen to come here. Sadly, pride in being an american is down this century. Relatedly, don't forget, we america was founded because taxes were too low!

• Interesting thread discussing the arguments people make against grading in school, followed by a reasonable back-and-forth with a person who honestly believes grading is bad. One big takeaway for me was that the people arguing against grading probably aren't talking about STEM classes
