Another item she mentions is that Mexico City also has many elevated crosswalks, which make the driver feel that they're encroaching on the pedestrian's space. I know a few crosswalks in Mountain View that could use this treatment.

One thing that's interesting is that one of the inputs to whether the firm you work at is elite is whether it exclusively hires from Ivy league schools.
