Quite the drop for Gen Z


Separating “evidence” from “prescriptive advice” seems like a reasonable way of making the distinction here. On the other hand, I’m not sure it works all that often. In Yglesias’ post on experts’ mistakes, I think it would only clearly help in two of the three examples.


Wow, the fact that this worked so well makes me all the more annoyed that we didn't implement automatic stabilization so that we can ensure we take the same action the next time there's a huge shock to the economy.
