At some point criticism of Biden from potential Democratic alternatives in 2024 could become self-reinforcing, i.e. the more Dems criticize Biden, the worse his numbers get, the more vulnerable he looks, and the more Democrats jump into the 2024 fray, rinse, repeat, etc.
Newsom really seems to be getting ready to run in 2024.
Cold calling students is a surprisingly good idea:
👉Rather than making classes awkward, it leads to higher voluntary student participation from more students, and ultimately more learning.
🙋It increases voluntary participation by women, closing the gender gap in participation.
As a student who would constantly raise their hand in class, I'd say going with random selection seems like a good idea.

Here's a the full paper on the subject, page 4 and 6 have the relevant data. I wonder if it's because of the phrasing though, if you asked 'what percent of gay people are democrats, or percent of seniors are republicans, might you get more reasonable answers?
