Trump doesn't get as much airtime as he used to, but he remains the Republican frontrunner for 2024. I'm interested in the idea of finding the 'right' level of coverage, it really does seem likely that keeping him off Twitter is good for the Republican party's electoral chances.

One thing the reformers have been right about is that the "quiet skeptics" would melt away and wouldn't be obstacles in the end. The standard political calculation in the party leads toward supporting this. The problem really was Manchin and Sinema.

Being only two votes away from a functioning senate is very frustrating.

Teenagers who drive themselves to/from school in passenger cars face more danger from driving than covid. Masks are great! But the way to protect yourself is to get your shots and don't engage in, uh, activities where social distancing is difficult.
