Global politics doesn’t get much clearer than this: an autocratic regime seeking to topple a democratic republic. If you’re not in complete solidarity w/ the Ukrainian people, incl their efforts to rebuff this invasion w/ NATO’s aid, you too are on the wrong side of history.

Yesterday Russia simply moved troops into the already contested parts of Ukraine. Today the invasion began in ernest. Ukraine's ambassador to the UN had a heavily shared statement.

The threat of using nuclear weapons as Putin made today is yet another escalation. Very rare, after 1945; perhaps JFK in 1962? Mao talked about it a couple of times. But surely nobody for a long time.

Actual life hack that makes you and those around you happier: compliment people you know more! We don't because we worry it will be unappreciated & awkward. But “giving compliments in relationships makes both expressers & recipients feel more positive than they expect to feel.”

Visiting a suburb in Sweden. Detached single family homes. Although they look small they are spacious inside because. four or five bedrooms. Small (5ft) front setback means a nice backyard even on a small lot. Narrow (24ft) streets. No good reason to make it illegal in the US
