What a pity. Newsom's veto last year indicated some specific concerns, apparently he's just opposed to the whole concept. Owens thinks he's simply following a recommendation from Caltrans, even if it's very foolish. I guess we'll keep waiting for a good bike bill, in the mean time, at least they passed the no-car tax credit.
University doesn't make people liberal, for better or worse.
Before anyone tells you this is only because of ranked choice, remember that this isn't that different from a standard primary, where Palin would have won, and then she'd have lost to the democrat, this way was just faster. The Republican party has multiple serious candidate quality problems at once.
