Also, we need to be treating 1M acres/year in the off season and we need to be asking why USFS is only spending something around $50M of $250M total nationally on fuel management in CA for the 31M acres the fed govt manages when it costs billions to reactively fight these fires.

What worries me about the discrepancy between Xi's record as a leader and the Great Man image he's cultivating is the question of what kinds of things he might do in order to beef up his legacy.

One interesting thing about Xi Jinping is that unlike Mao, he hasn't really *done* anything to deserve being enshrined as a Great Leader. Xi has presided over slowing economic growth, beaten up on domestic rivals, and repressed minorities. That's it.
