The right question to ask is: "Maybe operations (which require the cardiologist to be present) have high risk but long term rewards", this would imply maybe better survival numbers further out. But, don't worry, they checked that too. I had previously heard about how the retina cells are upside down, but I had not heard about all of these other problems. The nonfunctional redundancy of the muscles is particularly silly.
