Regular people assume the footage from behind-the-scenes featurettes are the “truth” — in fact, it is now standard practice to alter pieces of documentary footage from EPK “making-of” b-roll for public consumption for various reasons.
The example he gives is subtle at first.

Maybe you didn't care, but it's nice to see Apple walking back a bad decision. Although suddenly I'm worried it was a duck.
In keeping with my view that we're actually just handing back Afghanistan to the Taliban, I suspect that the sudden orderliness of the evacuation reflects deeper U.S.-Taliban coordination than anyone is allowed to admit.
One possible interpretation.
ON AFGHANISTAN:
1⃣ Team Trump cut a deal with the Taliban in Doha that didn't involve the Afghan government.
2⃣ The Taliban took Trump's deal to Afghan military commanders and secretly pre-negotiated surrenders.
3⃣ The USIC missed 2⃣, so now the Taliban has much of our weaponry.
Here's another, more depressing, option.
Breaking News: Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas has tested positive for the coronavirus and is isolating while receiving treatment. Abbott, who has banned mask and vaccine mandates in the state, has faced criticism as virus cases increased sharply.
Apparently he's one of the people who lied to get a third dose.
