Well this is some good news. I skimmed the paper and still can't tell *why* it's getting better though.
Obviously this is just percentage of electricity, the goal is all energy, but still very impressive stuff.
There was a New Yorker article about nuclear power's dangers recently, it was not well thought out. Nate Silver was particularly annoyed with their use of Fukushima as three separate meltdowns towards a total of 6 ever, as if there was no correlation between them. I'm happy to see that Gavin Newsom is doing what he can to keep California's existing nuclear power operational. Plus the newly passed IRA helps as well.

There are many groups opposing significant infill development, but the rest are at least self-interested. Environmental groups that do this are working in direct opposition to their stated goals!
