One thing I take back from yesterday. If the recall can be leveraged to pressure Sacramento against writing or extending an overly broad distance learning waiver that would prevent in-person learning 5 days a week, that would be a great outcome. kqed.org/news/11870787/…

Yesterday I mentioned that California’s Governor Newsom might be hesitant to sign bold housing legislation because of the threat of the recall. But on the other hand, if it gets him to ensure schools are open once everyone is vaccinated… maybe it’s worthwhile.
