• There's been a lot of discussion around crime in SF recently, here's a thread that discusses a different angle: the difference in effectiveness of the severity of punishment and the certainty of punishment. Severity can have an effect, to a point, but certainty is more important, you want to focus on things that work.

• Thread with an update on inflation. TL;DR: it's down a bit more, the main concern is that the federal reserve will lose credibility if they're unable to drive it down further.
