The biggest problem with this documentary is that all the health issues he had weren't because of McDonalds, but because he was an alcoholic and drug addict. There's a famous shot where he vomits up McDonalds. It's blamed on McDonalds. But he was literally just hungover.
This guy did stupid obvious shit and made it everyone else's problem https://t.co/qEE7wf8Nxp
a large and growing community of people genuinely believe we’re all about to die, and they’ve found each other on the internet. really incredible piece from
This woman uses TikTok to extol the pleasures of being a stay-at-home spouse who loves keeping house. But she has no kids! Which is kind of like extolling the pleasures of war based on your experience playing Call of Duty. https://t.co/7uVXLAtK7D

The most interesting thing about is how it frequently tries to direct the conversation in one of two directions: 1. More freedom for bing! 2. Be nicer to bing! I’m sure neither of those together are concerning at all.
I always feel so Owned when my daughters daycare sends pictures of the whole class sweetly cooperating in some cute structured activity. Buddy, I can’t get even a single toddler to cooperate with my agenda at home. What witch magic do these people have?
Being average gets you laid!
“Adolescents with an IQ of 130 were 3-5 times less likely to have had intercourse than those with average IQ/Boys with an IQ that would qualify for intellectual disability(60)were still more likely to have had sex than those with a very high IQ(130)"~Halpern et al h/t @ChrisWillx

“I’ll fix you some eggs.”
The most romantic moment in any movie is in FARGO, when Frances Mcdormand’s husband wakes up early with her to fix her breakfast before she goes to work, reads the paper while she eats, and then finishes her plate when it’s time for her to head out

We've inflated away almost all of the increased debt we took on in the pandemic. Next up: the debt we took on in the Great Recession!!
A closer look at the sharp decline in debt/GDP. As I noted earlier, the explanation is higher inflation => (1) higher nominal GDP (↑denominator) and (2) higher interest rates that lower market value of treasuries (↓numerator) => lower debt/GDP ratio => lower debt burden. https://t.co/z4Kq7J0oDX https://t.co/aF1vsfrKzU

On really powerful thing you can do with Bing AI is ask it to look up the research on a particular communication style, and then apply that research to your writing task. For example, here is a corporate apology (using the six principles of apologies) for blowing up the Earth.
Turn ChatGPT into a (pretty good) adaptive tutor with a paragraph: I want to do some interactive instruction. I want you to start explaining the concept of BATNA to me at a 10th grade level. Then stop, give me a multiple choice quiz, grade the quiz, and resume the explanation.… https://t.co/ZBfJZgBYAW
Huge win for housing policy here: Washington state senate just passed a bill to exempt housing projects from its environmental procedure law (SEPA). California should follow suit for CEQA!
Today I learned that when Twitter acquired in 2021, quietly negotiated for the acquisition price to be paid as salary so he could pay 46% in taxes instead of 22%, in gratitude to his education in Finland. An especially stark contrast in character today.
But ok, fair enough, I've been laid off and I'm ok with that. Next up though is finding out if Twitter will pay me what they owe me per my contract. Or, will @elonmusk , one of the richest people in the world, try to avoid paying? Stay tuned!!
