just as increasing the number of lanes increases the amount of congestion by increasing the number of car trips and creating bottlenecks at exits, increasing the number of apartments increases prices by encouraging people to rent more than one and trapping them in their hallways

@errollouis Adding more lanes to highways doesn't reduce congestion, it increases cars. Adding more unaffordable apartments to New York doesn't solve the housing crisis, it increases displacement. This is not hard.
