This is such a good piece of explanatory journalism on a question that has been nagging me and I’ve seen answered nowhere else:
A friend (who will remain anonymous) points out that when you ask GPT-3 if Taiwan is a country, the English answer is "Yes", while the Chinese answer is "Not sure".
Old problem: If you keep repeating a Big Lie over and over, humans will believe it.
New problem: If you keep repeating a Big Lie over and over, AI will believe it.
