Something to this but it’s also true that inflation makes alleviating supply side constraints to growth more pressing.
So I’ll take the win.

That California liberalized zoning *right* before interest rates and inflation made housing construction incredibly expensive and impractical is sure something. Amazing how much wealth and human welfare has been destroyed because they didn't do it in 2008

My take on the conservative movement is not remotely cynical — I think the most idealistic, most achingly sincere people on earth sincerely believe they are serving humanity by running a series of scams designed to keep taxes on capital low to promote economic growth. https://t.co/RKQ22omxG5

@mattyglesias You have a very cynical take on “the conservative movement”. Sure, some members have those views. Why not name them specifically? A similarly cynical take of the liberal movement is not hard to make.

Elizabeth Warren is right: “lowering housing costs by increasing supply” is “the unfinished business of the Biden agenda and the way to help families and win elections.”

It would be a fitting irony if the first teacher to lose their job for violating SB 3, Texas’s anti-CRT law, was a white supremacist. https://t.co/g6rUVCl0bq

Exaggerated, but a grain of truth. End of history is real. Normie lib orthodoxy is stacking wins. Each element of our polycrisis is helping us win at another element as @Noahpinion put it. US expanded it's share of world economy in last decade and will continue it's reign.

* EU: Cucked.

* MAGA: Canceled.
* Ethereum (!): Captured.
All these potential challengers to the GAE world order undercut or as with China at least weakened by proxy.

incredible that the "how dare you ask RBG to retire" people were so thoroughly and viscerally proven wrong and learned absolutely nothing.

Y’all really want to push two of the three women off the bench rather than focusing energy on expanding the Court.
democrats control the Senate so let’s expand the court > democrats control the Senate so let’s force the first Latina woman judge to retire
