This @jaycaspiankang piece on the anti-homework movement is very useful for mustering a lot more patience with it than I'd have been able to bring....

The conceit of this account that the big problem in American politics is that the New York Times is too conservative seems off to me. https://t.co/B6oaPiwppz

New York Times Pitchbot @DougJBalloon

I still donβt know who leaked, but Iβm more confident that people who were being assholes about βwell OBVIOUSLY it was liberals, you idiotβ were way over their skis. https://t.co/GilBuCByMm

But to a large extent what the progs think is that the mods are bad people, who ought to be cast out from the circle of leadership and replaced with themselves.
So instead of declaring victory, the progs espoused new further-left ideas to keep the feuding going.

The mods, meanwhile, have a perverse tendency to blame the progs for their electoral problems when the actual issue is stances that *they themselves decided to adopt* in order to box out the progs and maintain control of the levers of power.
