I think the fact that Powell’s press conference caused a stock market rally likely means the fed isn’t hiking fast enough. Markets are expecting above-target inflation for years to come. The Fed needs to fix that.

Vote by mail makes life more convenient but doesn’t have any particular implications for which party wins the elections — should be a low-key good government reform that can happen on a bipartisan basis instead of a high-stakes shitshow.
