DC think tanks have always had one foot in the propaganda game and that’s fine, but these days the idea of being a good ally has become so dominant that it’s crippling the ability to do good analysis.

My main thought on the Libs of TikTok is that people were right to worry 18 months ago about the implications of a popular and influential media channel being owned by a Chinese company and it’s too bad we’ve totally dropped the subject.

Trump handled the TikTok issue in his typical corrupt, inept, clownish way so it got fumbled as a policy issue.
But then instead of picking it up and addressing it responsibly, Biden’s team seems to have forgotten about it.
