This project turned out exceptionally well. Among other things, it funded the primary clinical trials for 2 of the top 3 Covid drugs. More research funding should work like this.

Remember, GDP only measures things with market prices. When you push a public good into the market, GDP goes up. So privatizing healthcare systems, privatizing public housing stock, all of this is great for "growth"...

NEW: Justice Clarence Thomas admitted to hospital Friday night with an infection, per the Supreme Court. Being treated with intravenous antibiotics, is feeling better and expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two.
