Common HomePod interaction of late: Hey Siri, can you set a timer? How long? 5 minutes …Hrm…this is taking a while…I didn’t hear back HEAR BACK FROM WHOM SIRI? THE TIMER POLICE? MY TIMER BANK? TELL ME.
Listen to me, I get Ukraine is facing what some experts are calling "a military invasion" and "bombings." But you're gonna sit there and tell me that this means the Nordstrom in Kyiv is closed? Get off your ass and get yourself a suit, guy.
One thing that makes the “how much aid should we give to Ukraine?” debate odd is that you’d normally expect to see a fair amount of covert assistance in this kind of situation but Zelensky is such a star that everyone wants to *be seen as* providing help.
Nice try, Putin, but do you really think Americans would fall for a cynical, nakedly partisan appropriation of the concept of cancel culture for malign ends? Hah! As if.
Putin just said the west is trying to "cancel" Russia

For those unfamiliar, "rootless cosmopolitans" is an antisemitic euphemism for Jews that was popularized under Stalin in the Soviet Union. Hitler also slurred Jews as disloyal cosmopolitans in his Mein Kampf. There's exactly one type of person who uses this sort of language.

DSA is calling for the U.S. to halt military aid to Ukraine. Fuck DSA!
The US has sent over $1B in military aid to Ukraine in the past year and over $3B since 2014. Continued large deployments of weapons from the US/ NATO only further exacerbates the war. We have to call for humanitarian aid and diplomacy to de-escalate. 3/11 https://t.co/a1ZncXdVGy
