1/ I have been promising an analysis of why Idaho's wage gap with the US has been increasing even though we have a "booming" economy. And I found the answer.
First of all, what do I mean by wage gap is growing?

No surprise, the data shows Slow Streets are a massive success.
📈Street usage goes up
📉 Car usage goes down
We need to build on our existing Slow Streets and make them even better.

Dan Federman @TheFederman
35k people use 47 miles of slow streets daily. We have a population of 874,961 and 1398.4 total miles of streets. This means 3.36% of our streets are slow, and 4% of the city walks or bikes on these streets daily
Slow streets are a smashing success!

Capitol rioter Jeramiah Caplinger quoted a “Game of Thrones” character in a social media post two days after the attack. In this footnote, prosecutors provide an episode recap for those who don’t have HBO.

This is why I've stayed out of the "lockdown" fight since the vaccine came out. The people in favor of lockdowns are obviously screaming into the void, since nothing even remotely like a lockdown will happen, and the screaming is just emotional self-expression.

The Covid discourse is weird and nasty because I think it just absolutely sucks to go through two years of a pandemic. But one thing that feels weird now is that the winning side in the "get back to normal" debate seems very angry about losing the debate even though they won?

I do remember this, and this caused me to downplay the virus for at least a month, and this big mistake caused me to reevaluate a lot of things.

Does anyone else remember the super brief period after Covid first surfaced where certain activist types were like “if you freak out over this virus you’re racist” ?

The movie "Monsters University" sounds like a refreshing exception of a kids' movie, in that it
- Rejects the common trope of "You should never give up on irrational dreams!"
- Is still heartwarming and inspiring

Anti-Asian attacks in San Francisco were up 567% in 2021 compared to 2020. From 9 to 60.
Half the attacks were reportedly the work of one man.
