In one sense this is good news for liberals, who have now definitively won the argument over which side is more indulgent of cranks and nutjobs in a way that wasn't clearly true in the 90s or the aughts.

"We're all trying to find the guy who did this"

Alex Roarty @Alex_Roarty
the one point that kept coming up, across both groups, was a desire to find person responsible for attack. That person/people, the fg participants said, needed to be held accountable, and they weren't sure they had been.
That's probably the point that will frustrate Ds the most

This is because the NYT sabotaged me by assigning the review to an Englishman who wants to keep us weak so they can tax our tea.

Timothy B. Lee @binarybits
I wouldn't way this is @mattyglesias's fault, but in the 16 months since "One Billion Americans" came out, we've moved in the opposite direction from what he advocated. Both immigration rates and fertility have been falling sharply.

I firmly believe that if Republicans win a majority in a fair election it would be entirely appropriate for them to govern without deferring to the Democratic minority — many countries work this way!

Frank Thorp V @frankthorp
ROMNEY: "There is also a reasonable chance Republicans will win both houses in Congress and that Donald Trump himself could once again be elected president in 2024. Have Democrats thought what it would mean for them, for the Democrat minority to have no power whatsoever?"

Kroger's profit margin is 1.52%

Elizabeth Warren @SenWarren
What happens when only a handful of giant grocery store chains like @Kroger dominate an industry? They can force high food prices onto Americans while raking in record profits. We need to strengthen our antitrust laws to break up giant corporations and lower prices. https://t.co/DMa9Z7adFr
