Me realizing that Caltrain’s move to above-grade crossings will nearly eliminate the need for the train to use its horn, thereby making land near Caltrain much more desirable for housing

This is so enraging. When I worked in NorCal we had cameras stolen several times, but never violently. Many local reporters one-man-band, carrying gear by themselves. Recently they have to work with security, like you would in a conflict zone. And now one of those guards is dead
