What I'd like to see is a world where Vox, Vice, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, etc. each implicitly or explicitly adhere to *distinctive* ideological positions.
Then they can be as narrow-minded as they like.

When I started out, I could really explain to you how The American Prospect differed from The Nation or The Washington Monthly or Mother Jones or The New Republic.
Each publication was fairly narrow, but the ecosystem was diverse and healthy.

ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming has left its (global) board of directors.
I just checked the website, they've removed the Board section, and there's no mention of any management either.
I guess he really wants to recede into the shadows eh.

If you think redistributing the wealth from land is "untethered from economics", you don't know economics.
The efficiency of land value redistribution is called the Henry George Theorem. It's a standard result that pops out of plenty of economic models.

I like the Witcher because it's European medievalist fantasy but based on East European culture instead of the usual British culture tropes, which makes it feel different enough to be surprising.
