Idle thought: Traditionally, campaigns of conquest were used as pressure valves, to give ambitious aggressive men something to do other than overthrow the government. But China is just way too big for this, especially compared to the size of the territories it might conquer.

@PropterMalone Bitcoin is a more portable, convenient and secure store of wealth than gold, hence bitcoin is taking over from gold. The total stock of gold is worth about 10 trillion. Total stock of bitcoin is worth about 1 trillion so there is plenty of room for an increase in price.
