Gotta say House moderates' original theory that anti-police sentiment hurt the party in 2020 was a lot more plausible than their current theory that Democrats should drop their extremely popular drug pricing ideas.

If you don't want politics to be dominated by culture war topics that disadvantage Democrats in tough races, then you can't fumble the ball when it comes to advancing popular economic ideas.

Here's a story about "state capacity" for you.
The US Department of Transportation has an ongoing project to build a database that would say the exact location of every address in America. The Census Bureau *has already done this* but for ~~privacy~~ reasons can't share it!

Why is it more private for the DOT to replicate this work than for Census to just give it to them?

You're not a true techno-optimist if you're not excited about the amazing progress in solar and batteries.

Watching “Idiocracy” in 2006: Hah hah these people are such idiots this is such a hilarious extreme farce
Watching “Idiocracy” in 2021: I don’t recall this being so understated
