Is a vaccine mandate racist because the people in non-compliance are disproportionately Black or is it anti-racist because it’s paternalism that will benefit a disproportionately Black population?

Matt Bruenig @MattBruenig

I am beginning to think that "mandates to take COVID-19 vaccines specifically are tyranny, unlike the many other vaccine mandates I have never objected to" is not in fact a coherent or defensible intellectual position

What boggles my mind is that actually journalism companies don’t undercut the J Schools.
Politico should charge people $15,000 to do a year-long internship & call it a master’s degree.

What i dont understand about alt culture warriors is why they are total market abolitionists on housing but automobile Capitalism is totally fine and any suggestion they ride public transit or take a bike is privileged.

The quotes from Google execs in this article are facepalm-worthy.
"yeah we found out we're in violation of laws, but fixing it would make other teams' beancounters unhappy, so let's just keep violating the laws"

Trump feels strongly about Robert E Lee but skips out on conventional patriotism.

Balaji Srinivasan @balajis

The funny thing about the debates around vaccine dosing (who should get boosters, when should they get them) is that the original dosage regimens weren't based on any science whatsoever. They were practical calculations due to time constraints and the CDC/FDA being dumb.

Folks, the legislative branch is exempt from *all* executive branch rulemaking, which sounds weird when you discuss any individual rule but part of maintaining the constitutional separation of powers.
