Attention crypto world: @SenShelby just told us he’s actually for the amendment he blocked yesterday, but blocked it simply because he didn’t want them to get an amendment unless he got his defense amendment.

I think a naive person would believe New York politics is unusually scandal-plagued but my strong suspicion is New York State government has an unusually large number of journalists dedicated to covering it.

@EsotericCD @Popehat I bet CNN could have broken some really important news about Andrew Cuomo if only they were able to get close to sources in his inner circle

It's been a while since I've done any shameless self-promotion, but this is spot on--it's not easy to just "go back" on something you said earlier.
Not *exactly* what we looked at, but close enough.

That's why we can't absolve Fox for months of antivax messaging, just because they changed their message once Delta got bad. The antivax memes they created and disseminated took on a life of their own -- and many Americans will die as a result.

Obviously there are many things wrong with this tweet. But if you are upset at Star Trek for becoming too liberal or inclusive, you seriously do not understand Star Trek.

One thing in this debate is that @perrybaconjr the participants can't agree on which side is the conventional wisdom — he seems to think popularism is the generally accepted view among Democrats whereas I think it's just the opposite.

Both sides agree that ceteris paribus it's better to have popular policies and an image of moderation and also that these are not the only things that matter in politics.
But both sides think the other side is overstated and too influential (the difference is I'm right).

A vaccine “mandate” that allows people to test instead of being vaccinated isn’t a vaccine mandate.
Testing is *not* an adequate alternative to getting the damn shot.
